Initial Bare-root Crown Size and Early-season Flower Cluster Removal Has Little Effect on Subsequent Plant Performance in Day-neutral Strawberry

In strawberry ( Fragaria × ananassa ), initial bare-root crown diameter and early-season flower cluster removal have been two factors suspected of influencing fruit yield size. This study evaluated the effect these on day-neutral varieties Monterey Cabrillo. Bare-root crowns with three different diameters were categorized into small (< 0.5 cm), medium (> to 1 large cm) at planting. Each treatments was split plots for or no in early season data canopy diameter, yield, size collected subsequent months production. The conducted over growing seasons (2019–20 2020–21).
